By the way, isn't Priest better than Maiden? ;)

I think Maiden fits just PERFECTLY. Not only it is way better than Priest guitarwise, albumwise and songrwiting-abilitieswise (gosh!), but it beats the crap outta Malmsteen with his half-baked compositions and his ridiculous sound.

To make it clear - when you talk about sheer finger workout Malmsteen fits well, but when you talk about guitar music, c'mon, Maiden and Priest are just in another, much higher league named "guys who can write great songs". Malmsteen's league is called "citius, altius, fortius" I guess .

Boring, well maybe. But I'm due to my opinion that you won't be surprised with. Steve Vai's music is (to my opinion, I said) more interesting and attractive than everyone else's mentioned here. Excuse me, again.

Iron Maiden are the best band ever. Period. You can't argue with that, can you ?

Steve Vai nowadays can write songs, but back then... .
I never liked him that much anyway, always preffered Satriani.

But comparing them both to people, who play in real bands, not supportive engines for guitar pyrotchnics... it's not fare to poor ole Steve and Joe! Or should I remind you of what Vai was doing with Roth and Whitesnake, pitifully trying to adoptate his style into their music?

Well, it's your own business, I think.
And why don't you like Vai's support band(s). I guess it's more real than any other. Vai+Sheehan+McAlpine+whatever - what else can shake the audience this way? Seems like Maidens're out.
Steve's works with Lee Roth and Whitesnake are very powerful, aren't they?

Brrr, it's just a matter of taste, not a point for discussion.

Sure I can, - easy :). The bestever band is Helloween!!! Aah, it's Helloween!!! :))) (it must be a JP though, but I really dislike their singer...)
And Steve Vai always was great songwriter, even at his early solo career days, and much better than Satch is. In some aspects, Satriani is slightly boring in his always-bright-tone; and Vai is NEVER boring. He always change - sometimes slighter, sometimes greatly, and his music still intriguing and refreshing. Overall, I totally agree with Virtuoso.

Well, thank you. That's all I wanted to say about it. I do find Satch more boring than I'd like him to be. But, mainly, it the matter of taste, I suppose.
